on the 4 bangers the exhaust diameter is smaller to the 6. So when you go to a muffler shop they will make a reducer to make the amg muffler fit a 4.
Its the same part regardless.
All,
I'd like to find out
if the following cars have the same exact part number if were to have AMG muffler on..(all W202 chassis)
C180
C220
C230
C230K
C280 I-6
C280 v-6
C36
C43
I am curious let say for example for a C180 to use C36 muffler or C43 muffler, do you have to do anything to make it fit, or the muffler would be just bolt-on ...

Does that means some cutting on the OEM part is required...?

when you have your Eisenmman exhaust installed..
which part of the exhaust that was cut..?
Is eisenmman also not a bolt-on mod..?

Its suppose to be bolt on but better weld on. It comes with a sleeve and some U bolts to crimp it on.
You cut before the rear axel.

How do you like the Eisenmann?
Sound, quality, etc.
Yes, I have a few mods, but they\'re so discrete, my wife hasn\'t noticed them.

I don't see any flanges behind the C43 (top). It's all welded upto the resonator. I think, most mufflers are welded -- which is good.
Here is another sample out of the M3 stock (top right).
'ment that after you cut off the oem muffler you use the U bolts to bolt up the eisenmann. Sorta like when you buy those austrian remus guy stuff.
then again the bms stuff is like a gazillion times better though.

Do you have just a muffler, tip & short section of tailpipe system for a 2000 C 230 K ?
Stainless steel would be prefered for our canadian climate ( 11 months of winter )
Thanks

Manny,
Sure.. do you want to replace your whole muffler? How about something like the end turbine and dual oval tips as in our C43 system?
CKlasse
I don't follow you.
What are you describing, lets say from the rear axle back ?
To me, that would involve a short section of tailpipe & then the muffler complete with tips.
Yeah, I think your oval tips look nice.
