how do you take off side trim?

i want to take off the side trim like steve did while buffing his car....and re-install without possibly braking all the attachment tabs.....anyone do this....i would appreciate any help...

doors: take out the phillips screw on the inside and shove the trims to the rear to take them off...
fenders: pull the trims away from the car starting at the doorside

do the fender trim pieces just pop off.....if so is there any potential clips to break....i'd hate to botch it and have replace things from ignorance....thanks for help
