Happy holidays guys. Ok im debating on what wheels to get for my black c280, right now the car is with the stock 15 inch monoblock amg wheels. now I'm debating to buy either the Brabus VIor the VW aristo style wheels
. I love the look of the amg style v
but they are very hard to find or they cost over $1500 or $2000 and I will never spend that amount of money in wheels it seems ridicules. any way what do you guys think which one would look nice, do the aristo style wheels look like the amg one or no.

I agree on wheels for cheap prices. I came accross these and have been thinking about grabbing them simply because they have a 'throwaway price". Drive on them for a year and if they bend just throw them away. Can't seem to have the urge to go 7.5's on all four corners though.

there is a black c280 where I live with VI's on it and the car does not look right with them
I like the turbine wheels myself but they are so hard to find or to expensive. So do you think the VW aristo style wheels would look nice?
Vetruck the ebay wheels look nice but I think that they would bend very quickly. they had to cut corners to make the wheels that cheap and when you are doing 65mph on the highway you don't want your wheesl to just fall apart.

Man turbine wheels on a w202 look so nice. Look how sexy this wheels look. If I could find turbine amg wheels for $600 I would buy them but the closest wheels are the VW aristo style.

I am leery when a site does not list any TUV or CE certifications. I would pass on those- most likely cheap Chinesse quality cast with inferior alloys.
check your local craigslist than ebay..
OK does anyone know where I can get good replica rims like this onesor should i just go with brabus VI. man undecided.

Vetruck, I mostly agree with what you said. I myself have some 18X8 deep dish gloss black multi-spokes on my car that I purchased off ebay for 480 bucks including shipping (they have a non-existant brand center cap).
It was a gamble, but for me they have worked out great. Also, because I spent wayyyy less on the wheels and got the same size I wanted, I was able to afford a much more aggressive street/track tire so when I go to Willow Springs which is nearby, I have a set of Hankook tires I can drive on the street every day and the tire is compliant with the local track regulations.
It's not a big deal to me, but I have heard from others the metallurgy on some of the chinese wheels is a lot lower compared to name-brand ones. However, please understand that I am happy with the wheels I have because they are the size I wanted and they were within my budget. If I had gotten a name-brand wheel, I probably couldn't have even afforded tires for them.
*Funny thing is though, my tires are so extremely grippy......I finally surrendered to the fact that if I want to do burnouts, I'll need to get some crappy benz wheels for the back and some either bald or slick tired for em. Mine right now just refuse to spin. Oh well.

I hear ya Vixen, Just a warning to all to read the fine print and if you do not see this (and example off the USArims website under their FAQ page- "Our wheels are TUV, ISO and JWL certified") the buyer beware. There are alot of Chinesse crap being listed and sold you you from outside our safety restriction jusrisdiction. You buy directly from China and they are not liable for any failure here int he US. You buy from a USA based company and they are liable and thus will only sell products that have certifications. Cheap wheels will come apart on you- trust me I have seen it in both wheels and tires.
Generally the major diffence in knock off wheels is the quality of metal. Light weight is the KEY. Replica manufacturers can and generaly do use heavier metal/alloy when they make a knockoff. THis metal is strong enough for DOT, TUV etc certifications but is much heavier than lets say a real AMG wheel, etc. Some of the chinesse stuff is using poor lightweight metal that just cracks upon hard impact of a pothole with low profile non forgiving tires.
