Capacitors drying out in the amp. Pay a local electronic repair guy to swap the caps. Much cheaper.
Have had my C36 for over a year with minimal problems. I take real good care of everything so small problems bother me. Currently the radio head unit works the phone projects threw the speakers, I have never had a problem with the audio. Strt my car radio is on, but there is no volume??? I checked fuses and wiring nothing looking abnormal... Could the volume button be faulty or the amp just went out over night? Antenna works fine. I was reading that the AMP could be wet due to rain?? Let it dry out for a few days??

if you know electronics you can easily repair those amps. they are surprisingly simple inside. I have a guitar-amplifier tech for a friend. He took it apart and replaced all the dried out old capacitors and it was good as new. It was like $15 in parts for about 3 hours labor. If you're handy with a soldering iron and have a solder vacuum, you can do it yourself fairly easily.
