18" options

Over on Bnzsport I did a thread on HRE's and BBS options. After boring a few people with my in-decision I decided to come back home over here & throw some ideas. I just want a fat chrome lip and dark center. So I started thinking about the 18" replicas from Bekkers & having them worked on! They are only $220 - $250 apiece & will be a good foundation to have powdercoating & polishing done. Hell, even the lack of //AMG on the spokes doesnt throw me off b/c dark grey or black will cover that up anyway. I could actually have that CNC'd on each wheel for probably $50 a piece?? Maybee less since I used to run a CNC mill for a shop here in Houston that makes oilfield parts. My old boss might be cool! Anyway i figure costs will break down like this..........

$1,000 wheels shipped to my house
$5 me stripping off the clear on the lips
$300 shop labour to powder coat the center
$600 Rubber

< or = $2000.00 all said & done

Keep your idea but change the wheel to this one instead!



And when you colour the wheel make sure they dont colour the bolts. That would look really really really cool.

That 'comp II' design will also show a little more caliper. Nice...

I'm thinkin dark grey center, and doing my SL calipers silver up front!

Then some of those AMG emblem center caps(cam lobe & tree) off Ebay to finish it off!

there are some nice imidation BBS LMs on ebay for only 720, looks really nice. 18x8.5 also.
