    Performance brake pads

Just an FYI for al lookng for better brake pads. I am a fan of Stillen metal matrix pads, but Stllen will not make rears for my car. I opedfor my next favorite choice and goto guys- Porterfield Racing Brakes here in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Took them a week but they bonded some pads for me and with racers cost (tell them you are an SCCA member) they gave me both fronts and rears in the R4-S aggressive street/autox compound (very low dust, 0* working temp pads) for $130 for all.

My C220 runs AP 645 pads up front and AP 335 pads out back.

Call 'em, don't order online. An remeber to just ask for an SCCA discount (racers discount) they will not ask for any membership #. Just tell them you run local autox in your home town wherever that may be.

I have Porterfield R4s front pads, they have worked well.
when these pads gets more wear n tear after a few years of use they will start dust more, first years is barely visible rim dust

for my brake upgrade to C32/C55 AMG calipers/rotors, I've bought Akebono Euroceramic pads as per recommendations from other forum members
