Sup guys, how come when i have the gear on D and press gas the shift knob moves up. One time it even went too high it went to Neutral. What can this problem be from? And it all depends on how i gas it. If i gas it slow it doesnt move but if i gas it hard it moves up a lot and comes back down to drive.
maybe it's the bushing in the gear selector going bad?
i can viggle my stick a bit forward and back but it's still in correct position all the time
is this normal that stick can move a bit loosely by moving it between position 1234D N R P but not engaging stick to the next position?
First make sure the bushings are in good shape,
If they are, there is an adjustment torx screw you can loosen on the shift shaft, to relief any tension. It's hard to explain, but its a very easy fix

Well guys it turned out that i need new motor mounts as well as a transmission mount so i will shit about $500+

Its 60 bucks for feq brand and 80 for either corteco or rein brand. Labor shouldn't be more than 2 hours. Plus who is your mechanic?
TRANS MOUNT IS 32. I would recommend corteco they are the oem brand for your car.
haha aper i took it to Harrys Mercedes at northridge for a price check cuz i know him he said $120 for each motor mount and like $50 for a tranny mount and wanted like $250 for fuckin labor. that foo a rip off.
I asked one of my customers he said all it takes is one hour.
Look up labor times vs. hourly rate.
The V6 & V8 ones get tricky, sometimes you have to pull the exhaust (w211 e55's)
My customer say the straight six is very easy to replace as long as its not a hydraulic mount.
