How to remove the factory intercooler....?

So I was working on my car last night. After I got the bumper off I saw how the intercooler sat and the end tanks makes it look nearly impossible to take out unless you remove the radiator and condenser. I can do everything myself but I rather not remove them. For those who have done it, a little help please? I'm leaning towards breaking the endtanks to take it out... Lol. Thanks in advance!

I don't remember much about how it mounted, but if the unfortunate happens and you break yours, let me know I have a spare ill sell cheap.

I'll just break it. If worse come to worse and the new intercooler doesn't work well with the car. I'll hit you up. Haha

Well I managed to get the factory intercooler out at the cost of my a/c condenser... (Anyone has a spare?? Lol) Well I use zip ties to hold the new intercooler in place so I can figure out how I need to make the brackets to mount it. I test fitted the bumper and fits with no problem. Intercooler size is 28x5.5x2.5.

I was gonna ask you too. But I looked it up only 99-00 c230k's will work. But the 6 cyl are interchangeable through all the years.

I paid $68 shipped after taxes. You just gotta shop around. You will not gain much if anything a little from what I've read on benzworld. But it'll help you from losing power overall from long periods of driving. Also I'm planning the shave the SC pulley down to up the boost to 10-11 psi. The intercooler well be very useful at that point.

Edit* the link above for the intercooler has 2" in/out on the end tanks. Mines is 2.5" in/out.

Finally had time to put on the couplers and t bolt clamps. Still need to make brackets to support the IC.

I don't understand why you have replaced the factory intercooler with a cheap Chinese intercooler of the same size, surely by virtue of the cores being the same size but the china cooler using inferior materials (to Mercedes) and worse manufacturing techniques you will have lost thermal transfer ability not gained it?

I fitted an intercooler with a much bigger core size built by a company with thermal efficiency as a top design priority (IC from a Mitsubishi Evo 6).
