    Spring question - 99 C280 Sport

The C280 sport I recently picked up, has a cracked front spring. I'm curious if springs from a 96 C36 would work in the 99 C280. I have a C36 parts car, and it would save me from having to go out and buy parts.
    Thanks in advance.

it should work... but the spring rates would not be optimal... i think the c36 springs are shorter than stock and stiffer... so if you're planning to switch that one i'll switch out all four and "upgrade" your suspension

You will need to swith out spring pads to the early 94-96 versions. IIRC, they changed tem slightly and a newer pad 97+ will not sit properly.

Have you verified this? They do look different, but it seems that the springs should fit both, just in a different way.
