To change shift knob (manual)

After a little search on this section I'ne not find so much information about a good up-grade for a manual knob!

Please does someone have and suggest a good idea to change it?

Aftermarket and/or MB (for newer style)!

For aftermarket I thing it's all a matter of cut the bottom leather bonnet to maintain it and match the new knob! (as seen here http://www.benzworld.org/publications/pub.asp?id=150)
