Engine won't start

Hello everyone, dear participants. I ask you for help!!! I have a C280 W202 1996. I took off the rear view mirror on which there is an infrared receiver. But the car can only be opened with a physical regular key. There is no remote access key. But the central locking works. So we removed the rear view mirror and put it in place.
