mirror cover catch spring part number

I recently installed new blinking mirror covers, however the u shaped catch spring which holds the cover in place isnt doing its job. (it doesnt want to stay locked between the mirror cover and the lens assembly).

anyone know what the part number is for the spring and/or where I can get a new pair.

Also, anyone have similar trouble getting the mirror covers to stay in place?

I dont see the clip listed. Your blinking mirrors are just covers right? Not the 210 ones. Perhaps the way those covers are built dont give enough "material" for the clip to push up against?

Have you tried putting on the original cover to see if thats the case.

You could also try to modify the center part of the clip and make the spacing smaller to it is tighter on the plastic pin. Or just crazy glue the sucker on.

Hey benz, with those you really need to kinda wrk at it, it took me awhile before they locked in you just need to play with it. it would be very strange if there was a problem with the clip that holds it in. but possible i guess. but yeah try messin with it and see, i had to push in VERY hard before it locked and also kida manuver it back and forth.
