Yep. My bro did it to his tail lights and cornerlights on his BMW. Looks awesome. Just make sure you do very even light coats! Also, warmer temperatures are recommended.

VHT is made for the specific purpose and gives better results and wont fade or chip as fast as the testors paint. By the way, 7oz is enough to do quite a bit of smoking. With one can I was able to smoke the clear part of my rear lights on the benz, darkly smoke the entire assemblies on my daily driver, and still had about half a can left over. ;0)

testors works...but for me, it tends to peel off after a few months. when it does this, i just take it all off (it comes off with rubbing alcohol) and do it over again. next time im going to spray some clear coat on it and hope it solves the problem

ryhi-that is what i plan on doing, putting clear coat on it, not only for protection, but to give it a shiny look

If u spray at the inside will have better result, and trust me on that, cuz if u spray the outside it will not look as OEM or after market made, and people will able to tell its a home made, plus u will have to watch out to use teh right cleaner or those tint will get mess up!

The results you get all depend on how well you paint and how well you mask the light. I painted the outside of mine and they look OEM even up close. ;0) Pics are in my sig link (2nd page)

remeber if paint on the outside, spend a lot of time preping it. ita all about prep. 80%prep 20% paint. Also do it in a dust free enviroment.
