    Wiring Foglights

I was wondering if someone could provide me with some details on wiring C36 foglights on a 1998 w202. I have the wire harnesses that came with the foglights.

If possible, I would like to wire the foglights so that they turn on when I pull the light switch out one time.

I have performed a search on this topic, but unfortunately wasn't able to come up anything with sufficient details. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would be interested in how they are installed too since that is my next mod

u can wire them to the stock "fog lights" which are on the bottom portion of the headlight housing (under the headlight bulb)

The US spec C36 foglight are wired with a dedicated relay located nest to air intake box. However, you could install your own relay.

To install the foglight, I have some pics describing this in the past thread.

I was hoping to use the wire harnesses that came with the foglights but it doesn't look like it will be a simple plug in for my car. I guess my best bet would be to disconnect the wires for the existing foglights in the headlight assembly and wire the C36 foglights.

Has anyone tried this? Will an annoying bulb-out indicator pop up in the instrument cluster?

Thanks for everyone's input and help.
