    Faded rear deck carpet :(

    Hey all:

any suggestions on how to fix, or any ideas of changing out my rear deck carpet to something else? the black is faded to a purpleish blue and it drives me nuts!

    DLS

PS I dont want to tint my car, either.

202 690 01 49 about 150 at the dealer. probably the best solution for fixing the problem

    or go for part number

    202 690 02 49

and add to that the 500 dollar power rear sunshade to really prevent the fades.

I so far only posses the manual sunshade at 80 dollars and the 20 dollar power sunshade switch. eventually ill get the rest of the parts.

hmmm the problem is not buying the deck.
The problem is installing the deck!
Let me know if you want instructions on how to do this.

I am buying a new rear deck today...Should I buy parchment or black? There is so much of my car that is both colors that I don't think it would matter. I'm really leaning toward the black since my trunk setup is in black and my dash, bumpers are black. Just hope it won't clash the parchment interior too much. I would color the rear brake light and speaker enclosures black as well. I think it would look pimp and MOST IMPORTANTLY, NOT SHOW DIRT!

My rear deck is also faded to a quite disgusting light purple colour. Rather than replacing the whole deck, I was thinking of trying to dye it black. Has anyone tried this before, and if so, did it turn out ok?

I havent tried but watched a friend do it to his cloth interior.

    It looked pretty cool.

Do a spot test on a corner to see if you like it.
