Hello all, I have just purchased a sun visor with the Homelink for my 96 C36. Does anyone know if the car was prewired for this option? Also, is the Homelink supposed to work only with the ignition on or is it powered all the time? Thanks in advance.

Well, I installed the sunvisor with the Homelink and there wasn't any prewiring so I had to tap into the sunroof wires as that was the only place I could find switched power. Well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
