    Cool Black headlights for the 202

    While it seems that the only upgrade you need to do is OEM HID headlamps the price is really up there. I mean you are pushing the 1000 dollar mark. And for some thats not possible so what you gonna do?

    Here is something to set yourself apart from the crowd. Black/Smoked style Oem E code lights for around 200 bucks!



    And with smoke corners youre living the black look!!

    My ride has smoked lights already, but I need the smoked corners to match better than the clears. You got a link?

    These are usally found on German Ebay with a price of 200,00 Euros. Not bad then there is shipping.

    However there is one set right now on US Ebay for 289.00 which sounds about right being that its location is North America.

    It should looks very good actually.
    Have you seen the previous gen civic type R?
    They come in white with smoke headlight and it looks awesome!

    saw a picture of them on a white w202. Look like mine..doesn't seem like there is a difference.

    As well, the seller writes that the US Spec lenses are plastic? Last I checked mine are glass.

    Anyway to smoke them yourself?

    Smoked Headlights

    Hello, I'm Benzmeister and a newbie to this board, I on the MCA and Benzworld boards for a while. I have a 1999 C280 which I bought in May of 02 as a starmark car. I traded in a 98 BMW Z3. for the Benz. I've owned a few luxuary cars in my day, but I must say the Benz is tops.

    About the smoke headlamps the person on eBay Ladym57 is selling both the headlight and corner lens in smoked. I am very seriously considering buying them. They use H4 and or H3 bulbs and the courtesy light that you have built into your corner lamps and in the Euro version built into the headlight. This seller has a decent feedback, only 2 bad. There is another seller mercedes 991 who sell the Euro headlights, but there not smoke, I've done business with them and their good. I will be posting some pix of of the Benzmeister and hope to enjoy some good conversation and exchange of infor on this board. I finally found a board dedicatd to the W202.

    Some I've found on ebay use H4 for high and Low beam, so use the standard H7 for low and H1 for high, I guess it depends on who you buy from ladym57 on ebay is selling these lenses and corner lights as I write,

    If this black headlight uses H4 bulb that means this is an older style headlight
    pre 97 model (US model)


    97 and up W202 C class uses H7 for the low beam..


    If anyone want to purchase this make sure that it is what you're looking for...
