but I have 1 style picture to show why european door lock pins are better:

When locked, nothing is sticking out.

    click the link

As found on your NA Spec w208 as well. So a trip to your local dealer is all that is needed for these.

Yup! that's the one I got. I've checked the PN and it matches with the W208 door lock knob. I'll take pic in a while.

Here's some pic of what we talking about here...
I think it got some kind of adhessive to lock itself when you install this door knob. Plug in and twist it once.

You have to twist to break a seal inside. So do the twist!

it sticks up and doesn't move at all.

I think the hole is too small for this style of door pin to fit in.

When you screw it in can you pull it off? I have these on my car and they work normally. It goes up and goes down.

Did your locks function prior to this?

when I screw it in..no i can't pull it off but it won't go down either.

    yes my door locks work.

i think the hole is too small for some reason to fit the euro style pins.

    that's weird,

the euro style pin should be smaller (if not the same) in diameter that the your OEM one..

btw this so called euro door lock pin actually standard on the older mercedes
    E class pre W124

I'm not saying the pin isn;t fitting.i'm sure it fits..it's just the hole on the door that's a bit to small I think.

You talking about the rubber around the hole that makes it look small?
