    Part # for glovebox lid

My glovebox latch is broken, and I was wondering if anyone can help provide a diagram with part numbers as to what I'll need to remedy this problem.

The dealership said that there's an inside piece ($75) and an outside piece ($175). Please say it ain't so!!!

Lu! do you need the whole assy or just the locking latch?
Coz there are 2 pcs w/c is like a liner then another with the light.
Or maybe you just need the one that holds the light?

I'll take a closer look - but the latch in the middle is broken. (It's the one on the actual lid that has two clasps/claws that move away when you pull the handle on the left.

O'k Lu, to make it easier for all of us. You think you can pin point the part that you needed?

I think I need this part - because it's the latch on the door that's broken.

    And here's your part number....
    A 202 680 1098

Glove compartment lid and it's available at your nearest stealership for about $27.50. Is there anything else I could
    help you with?

    Unhappy Broken Glove box latch...

    Hello People!!,

Maybe its due to the cold weather we've had over here in the Norht east, but all of a sudden, my glove box lid would not close!!. The latch that clasps the hook seems displaced, I have tried without success to open up the glove box lid itself.... Looks like a screw may have come undone.

Any suggestions on how to get the lid open... or am I better off getting a new lid????.
