I broke cigarrette jack and glove box light..

I happen to drop a piece of bread in the car and this piece got dropped into the little hole where the actual cigarrette lighter is sticked into....

I tried to get this piece of bread out using my GERBER (utility tool) and I got the piece out of there alright....but I happened to touch the inner part of that hole with my GERBER....

As I have done that....two things happened at the same time...

    1. A spark was observed at the place where my tool(GERBER) touched the inner part of the cigarrette lighter hole.

    2. At that time, the glove box was kept opened and the glove box light went out

    And after that.....

the cigarrette light won't light.....I put in other devices that hooks into that hole(such as cell phone charger....) and it does not work....

    OK.....

    First of all...

    What did I break??????

I am going to try new light bulb for glove box tomorrow....but for the cigarrette lighter......will I have to get the new ashtray assembly????

and also......is it possible that I messed up the fuse that might be related to this assembly????

    HELP!!!

I'm going to give you good news. I'm 99.9% sure all you did was blow the fuse on the circuit. Check the fusebox for the appropriate fuse and replace it!

Either the book should tell you or the cover of the fuse box should have a diagram. Try that. I believe the box is in the driver side engine compartment.
