Broken gps antenna

I have a 2000 c230k. The other day while driving into my garage, the freaking door comes slamming down on my car roof and crushes the gps antenna. I looked at the price and it's over $365. I didn't even know that it was a gps antenna up until now.
My question is...Where is the gps cable to the head unit? and can I hook up the cable to my laptop gps unit and make it work after getting a new antenna?
