Ugh Performance Products amg sills taking forever

i ordered these in March, it's now almost july and they keep pushing back the back order
is this happened to any of you too?
i'm guessing manufacturer can't keep up with demand
just ranting don't mind me ;p

Bekkers was also out of stock when I ordered (actually my bro) and took about 1 month to receive. You ordered in March?? That's rediculous then.. Call Bekkers and see if they still have stock. If so, maybe cancel with Performance.

(btw, i'm talking about Non-illum sills)

yeah ... I tried ordering this before in the past... they told me the waiting period is 3-6 months

So i decide against that.

wow, those look a lot nicer than the ones autorice sells on ebay. do they light up EL too? how much, and where can i find them?

Get in touch with Mbenznl the Euro pimp and he got everything you need to mod your car.

If you are just starting to mod please be aware that modding is habit forming. Once you get started there's no turning back...

dont worry, i know about the modding habit. before the c36, i had a 93 rx7 twin turbo, and i spent more on upgrading that car than the car was worth itself. it was fast and fun, but now i have moved on to more practical things, like benzes!

how much do the sills run, by the way?

The pics I posted dont light up. It cost me about $100usd last year. I like them alot, but they do scratch easily.

JRE320, you say your sills light up when you open the door. are your sills like the ones denlasoul posted, or more like the ones j irwan posted? if they are the design that denlasoul posted AND they light up, i am going to order me a pair soon!

Yes they light when I open the door but I don't have the AMG door sill. Just the regular Mercedes Benz in blue and like Denlasoul type of sill.

Mine and JRE320 should be the same type except "AMG" vs "Mercedes Benz"

What do you mean by Denlasoul type, this door sill is half aluminum brush and half chrome (smooth surface if that's whay you want to know).

Looks below, you can see the part where its aluminum brushed finish, and another part that is smooth chrome surface

As as far as the letterting , there will be see througg rectangular surrounding the "print" (whether AMG or Mercedes Benz)..

If only the letter that etched that it won't be illuminated.

I guess I am confused because I am under the impression that youre implying denlasoul and my door sill is different..?
It is different as far as "illuminated" vs "non-illuminted"

j irwan, your doorsills do not look the same as denlasouls if you ask me. his do not have the transluscent rectangular area around the "amg" lettering. it is really easy to see the difference if you take a look at yours...

then take a look at this picture of denlasouls...

i like the way his look better because the "amg" lettering does not look like it is simply popped into a generic placard-holding doorsill, if you know what i mean. instead, they look like they were designed with the "amg" logo etched out of the sill itself, not just printed onto a plastic placard placed in the sill.

i like the ones you have that autorice sells, but i like the look of the ones denlasoul posted better.

I know what you mean dude..

I've been looking for that too, and unless it custom made to cut holes just for the letters....and as far as no one has it yet..

That's why I decide to buy what I have now, since at night when the AMG lighted up people wont know what's the sill looks like

they just see "AMG" and the bling-bling sill
