    transmission

    hey my car recently had some transmission work done and now its shift point is really high. Is there any way to fix this? has anyone done it before? Can i adjust the shift points of the tranny? Any help is greatly appreciated... THANKS

    What do you mean that the shift point is high? Do you mean close to redline through each gear?

    On my C43 when I drive aggressively, it will shift close to redline. When I dirve casually, it will shift more appropriately. The variation in shifting has to deal with the adaptable tranny.

    It depends on what type of tranny you have as to whether or not it will adjust your shifts according to how you drive. The 5 spd. electronically controlled tranny is the the one that does this (97 and up models).
