Try unplugging the coolant temp sensor on top of the thremostat housing. if nothing changes, my guess would be thats the problem. also a failing wiring harness can cause poor starting, but it would be accompanied by engine performance issues.

my 94 c280 recently started to have trouble starting. its acting like the gas doesn't want to come up. I had to give a little gas then it would start. This doesn't happened everytime, just once in a while and I see it happened mostly when the car is dead cold. Anybody experienced the same thing?? Any ideas??

I'll try that.. engine performance is still okay i think... I've had a MB mechanic told me about the harness problem on the 94-95.. if that is my problem, you think I can get one from a junkyard off a newer car? (96 up)?
thanks for the reply

it actually has to be off of a 94 or 95 model, but I would highly recommend you buy a new one, since the old ones are defective, so going with a used one is not a good idea.

I had the same problem with my 95 and the MAS replacement fixed it. Same symptoms too. Didn't seem to affect performance, just had the starting issue.
