HPS DEBUTS SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM FOR C43

Company’s Tradition of Reliability, Performance, and Value Continues in the AMG Variant of the C-Class

SANTA ANA, Calif. — High Performance Systems, LLC (HPS) today announced yet another application for its lineup of potent supercharger systems, the Mercedes-Benz AMG C43.

The engineers at Mercedes start with a standard C-Class, but make it hotter by dropping the powerful 4.3-liter V8 into the engine bay and performing various tweaks throughout. HPS takes off where the folks at AMG left off, turning hot into flaming. With gains of 107 horsepower and 115 ft.-lbs. of torque, the HPS supercharger moves output from the noteworthy 300s to the in-your-face 400s. Peak horsepower now registers at 409 while torque jumps to 417 ft.-lbs.

“Reliable and durable power is what HPS is all about,” said Bill Kavadeles, HPS program manager and vice president of engineering. “The C43 is our latest application of that mission. With more than 400 warranty-backed horsepower on tap, we’d say we’ve achieved our goal yet again.”

The company is rapidly expanding product offerings, with applications for most V8-powered Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and more in development all the time. All supercharger system components are designed to meet or exceed Mercedes-Benz’s own high standards of durability and reliability.

In the horsepower-per-dollar race, HPS is leading the pack, with supercharger systems starting at $6,995 and producing in excess of 100 horsepower.

High Performance Systems, LLC is a privately held company that specializes in leading edge engineering for Mercedes-Benz automobiles. For more information call (714) 557-5310 or access www.myHPS.com.

Completely loves his HPS supercharger too.

i donno how to tell you
but looks like HPS > Kleemann

$ for $ hp for hp

    i don't see why you'd throw away 10 extra g's for a little more gain, that's a big profit on Kleemann's part

I plan on going out to see his car. Been meaning to do this awhile, but been really really busy. I hope to see his car and maybe get a ride or drive. I can then compare it to my car's performance and write up a summary.

    Please be patient with me!

LOL!!! That's what i was thinking too

Well, that press release makes the system sound great. A 400+ hp 202....makes me wish I had the C43 since there's no love for the I-6.

And oddly, $7k doesn't sound too bad!

If this proves to be reliable (and how can anyone say at this point), that's gotta be the best bang for the buck.

LOL! You guys are funny. I want to check out the system myself. What's nice is this guy lives relatively close to me, so I can get first-hand experience on what to expect out of my C43

I have been researching all my s/c possibilites and am leaning towards one. I think each system has its pros and cons, and that they balance themselves out (money vs performance).

I'll let you all know what happens. Heh heh heh.

Gotta hit up the casino so I can pay it all off upfront!
