    Transmission?

Well, I was driving this afternoon with my girlfriend and the Transmission just went out on me. I have completely lost reverse, so rule of thumb, when reverse is gone that is the first thing to go when your transmission is going out. So, in all this, does anyone have a transmission or know of someone that is parting out any W202? I would prefer a C36 tranny or C43 if possible, but any will do. Please help, this is my only means of transportation!!!!

I saw a couple of W202 tranny on ebay recently....

one has $500 as starting bid. I doubt it'll get much higher. If you are a moderate Ebayer and know what you are doing, this is something to be considered about!

    Click me!

PS... i saw one for a C230 too, I ll forward it to you as the link become available to me.

Thanks very much guys!! One problem as I mentioned to 1SIKBNZ is, my car is a 98 with the 5 speed auto. So, any car before 97 I believe will not work, because they are the 4 speed auto's (I think). I can't remember exactly, but in 97 they might have only put the 5 speed auto in the C36, but I could be wrong. Will someone please clarify that for me? Thank you again!!

The Electronically controlled 5-speed was put in all 97's. 96 and below are mechanical (vaccum) controled.

My tranny already went out on my car before I bought itat around 30k. I don't know whether to be thankful or not that it was replaced under warranty. As far as I know, from the report on the write up, only the transmission itself was replaced.
