for the airbag there are 2 torx bolts in the back of the serring wheel, you can see the holes if you look behind it. Just take those out and unhook the cable on the inside of the airbag and your done. As for the wheel there is a jiant hex bolt in the middle of the wheel, just take that out... simple...

To be safe you should probably also disconnect the negative lead on the battery.
Don't want that airbag going off on you.

if you didnt get it - that menas you take out the airbag FIRST (after battery is disconnected) then you will see the bolt that holds the wheel.

WAIT disconnect the bettery wait 10 min for the capactior to drain. ( The capactior stores an extra charge of battery voltage. It does this in the event that the car looses power and then crashes it will still deploy the air bag) so wait 10 min for it to drain.

just make sure that you have all windows down in case you have all the doors closed - if the bag blows and all doors/windows are closed the explosion will cause your brain to slush from the shock waves. jk I dont think thats possible . good luck dude!

I have removed my airbag with the battery connected and the key on the ignition so just unscrew the two bolts (star allen tool) and you will be fine dont worry.

..or just doesnt know what it feels like getting popped in the face by an airbag.

I dont know what would hurt more, the pain in your face or the pain in your wallet.

I Watched My Neighbor Messing With The Steering Wheel On Her Mitsu 3000GT, And It Went Off. I Paused From Washing The 202 To Check On Her. OUCH!!! She Had A Black Eye And A Busted Lip. I've Been Afraid Of Messing With The Wheel Area Ever Since. Just Becareful.
