something died in my car but I duno what

so this morning I sit in my car and put the key in, i turn it and I hear a loud bang, next thing I see some smoke coming up from under the hood and I smell burning rubber

I open the hood and it came from the circled area below(picture below)

smoke was gone after a few seconds and the car had no problems starting after that, any ideas??

    predrag1,

The photo you supplied looks like a RHD car. Since you live in a country that drives on the "wrong" side of the road, I assume that you have a LHD car?

Surely you have a digital camera or at least a cell phone that takes pictures?

ur thread title really sounded scary for a while. i thought some animal went into your car and died and u can't find the body.
well, do upload a pic of the problem area of your car, and like nenad said, check the fuse box.

this just happened again, got into the car, turned on the lights since it was dark, put the key in, turned it and bang, smoke came from under the hood and it smelled like urning rubber, I popped the hood and everything seemed normal, car started after that
