Hey wichipong, I want to run 17x9 next year In the rear, did you have any issues with 9 wide in the rear?
1998 Mercedes C230 Elegance
HID kit - 6000k
H&R Sport Springs
Bilstein Shocks and Struts
Black Vinyled Roof
Tinted Taillights
12mm Spacers In Rear
18 Inch VIP Status Rims (18x8 all around)
Magnaflow 14833 Muffler
H&R Front & Rear Sway Bars
I've got 18x9.5 in the rear. Under really hard driving they rub, this is in a c36 which has its guards rolled from factory I'm lead to believe. There is still a bit left to be rolled so i may do that
18*9.5 here n u need to role the fender lips and pull out slightly (you can pull it by hand )
mines lowered 2 inches or so also
dear love mine don't hit too hard
all I did was pull the fender out by hand where the front cover and fender meet and did the same on the side by the door (same location height wise )
took the rub out unless I have 4 ppl and a hard left turn .... lol

I'm tucking 18x9.5s on the front, it took some work and lots of trimming.
you can fit 20s , if you really want..
BAN HIS ASS!!
744 C36 AMG- carlsson
040 C43- way to many modifications
744 CLK55- even more mods
CLS55 IWC edition
744 CLK500 Rocket Bunny widebody
the biggest ive seen without major mods is 19 inches. but the tires were rubber bands. probably not the best ride. i wouldnt do that if i were you.
i drive a 1999 c280 elegance. but i lowered on vogtland springs and bille sports with #3 and #4 pads in front and back respectivly. i could stand to put #1 or #2 pads in front. also I have adjustable camber arms in rear from the diy. They are perfect for centering wheel.
I HAVE 0, NO RUBBING, at all in any driving condiiton or surface and can turn the wheels in front knock to knock no issues.
I personally have 18x8.5j 43et on front with a 5mm spacer and 225/40/18 michellin pilot sport a/s 3.
on rear i have 18x9.5j 43et bolted right on. 255/35/18 michellin pilot sport a/s 3. (shave lug bolts down about 3mm so no parking brake interference)
