    I got a free set last year from MB. It was covered under the 7 year emnissions warranty. Those cats are expensive.

    Alps is talking about hi flow - performance cats - not stockies. And yes, by law, in US, you cannot change cats til you hit 80000 miles.

    But you can change prior to 80K if they get "damaged" correct? Like say you hit some poorly designed speed bumps that smashed your stock cats....

    Of course...! as long as it is 'damaged.' It is replacedable. Don't tell me how.....
