    diffrence between c220 suspension and c230

    i had a question between suspension (aftermarket) is there a diffrence between the model

    c220 and c230

    i went to look for eibachs and on the c220 its just a 1.2 drop but on the c230 its a 1. 7 if i get those springs and put it on my c220 wiht aftermarket shocks will it fit properly?

    on eibachs web site

    the 1995 c220 only drops 1.2

    but the 1996 c220 drops 1.7 - 2 "

    ISNT IT THE SAME CHASSIS. why would this be doesnt make sense

    i havent seen their website but sometime they denote that their drop depends on the spring pads you use... is there something on their chart that states something like this?

    http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...37934500015640

    they say

    1.7 - 2 +- with diffrent set of spring pads please contact ur mercedes dealership right.

    SLAMMED C has eibachs says he has a drop of 2.25 - 2.5 cause of the spring pads. but see my model is one year behind its like

    1.2 " then lets say i get thin spring pads thats only like 1 cm diffrence

    i guess the eibach spring, isn't very good because it will drop alot after sometime you use it. so i think H&R is better

    1995 uses W201 style spring pad, 1996+ uses W210 style. From what I hear you can buy the updated springs and change all the spring pads to W210 style if you wanted.

    oh and brabus springs are made by Eibounce i mean Eibach also do it right the first time go with H&R, i have f'ed around with cutting stock springs, cutting Volgtlands, cutting eibachs, cuttin H&Rs but in the end i just run uncut H&Rs with 2 pad fron and 3 rear. it barley tucks in the front and tucks some with full tank of gas in the rear (perfect so it dosent look squatted in back when car is full of gas and ice) its got the sport rake

    I duno about you but i'm running eibach with bilsteins.

    Rides like stock to me..which is what I wanted. Low as heck too without using #1 pads at all. 2 front 3 in the back.

    Yes, I have a few mods, but they\'re so discrete, my wife hasn\'t noticed them.

    ...

    trashbach don't compare to H&R. I've had both. H&R is 3 to one favorite. I don't know about vogtland, brabus, amg, or cut stocks- never rode them.

    1995 C220:
    Vogtland = F-1.5"/R-1"
    H&R = F-1.4"/R-1.3"
    Eibach = F-1.2"/R-1.2"
    Vogtland Audio = F-1.6"/R-1.6"

    i know all these statistics but i wanna know if a 96 c220 springs (aftermarket) can fit on mine

    1996 c220 drops 1.7 - 2 "
    Vogtland Audio = F-1.6"/R-1.6"

    The Vogtland Audio are only 3mm/9mm difference in height. Doesn't seem worth it to me to bother with wrong year springs...

    why not just get a set of springs designed for your model year?
