Hardwire radar detector/ removing dome light

Is there any instructions online telling how to get the dome light off of the headliner. I didn't see any screws when I pulled the lens off. I need to get to the wires to hook up the wires for my radar detector.

    Thanks for any help.

its a 94 C280 if thats any help

My opnion you should just hard wire it to the cigarette lighter from the back. Because that switches on when the ignition is turned on.

I want the radar detector to be up high by the rearview mirror.

I may use the power going to the sunroof switch since it is switched.

Im not 100% sure right now.. but I think you have to remove the plastic lense covers on the bulbs.. then there are either screws or some tabs that you have to press in and it should pop out.
if this doesnt help then let me know and Ill find out for sure for you.

I pulled the lenses off, the bulbs are held by powered tabs. I didn't see any screws, Maybe the whole assembly is held up by tabs. I will have to look more closely tomorrow.

I hardwired my v-1 from the cigarette ligther. The wire goes via A pillar. This is actually pretty easy.

Thanks for the replies. When I get time I'm going to take things apart and see what I can do with it.
