The nak deck should have a bunch of mounting holes along the chasis that will permit you to slide it further into the mounting sleeve. On my older deck they were in a triangle so it could be mounted higher or lower. On my newer deck... they are in a straight line. If not, you could drill a hole in the sleeve where you want it and then run the screw through the new hole.
