what does it mean when the car idels?

Sometimes when my car sits at the stop light it goes form 600-1200rpm, then it stops, later on does the same thing again...sometimes it does it with or with out ac...i pulled the codes and nothing

He's talking about OBDII trouble codes. You can scan your car for free at your local Autozone.

I dont think we up here in the northwest have a Autozone either. I always see commercials but have never seen one or heard where one is.

That happened to me too. I found the problem to be a vacuum leak in the intake cross-over tube, specifically the PCV fitting grommet underneath the tube. Or, as J Irwan said, it might be the MAS.
