95' C220 i noticed a light smell of gas, i noticed on the bottom rear (passenger) to be clear it's not by the fuel pump, it's actually right where the bottom floor of the passenger rear seat. it has a plastic cover and has leak stain. over night i has left 3 drops individual dots size of oreo cookie on my garage floor.

so not really dripping real major...

but i want to fix it....

just happened recently (2-4days)

Pictures may help

Sounds like your fuel filter. Maybe something is loose. You can pop off that cover and see whats going on. Helps to pop off the rear wheel to get better access.

ok that picture is taken today, then when i full tank my car and drove it for about 40 miles tonight the check engine light went "ON" while driving, and my gas gauge goes down "TWICE" as fast compare to my regular gas mileage.

is this a MAJOR PROBLEM?

because the previous owner (1 month ago) said that he change the fuel filter recently or fuel pump ......i wasn't sure...

but ill open the plastic cover and take a picture see whats goin' on. maybe you guys can help me !

what could it be?? loose bolts? leak on hose?

can that trigger the check engine light?????

just worried because i'm a bum right now .... no money for extra repair...

from the pictures, it looks like one of your fuel level senders is leaking, which would explain the gauge moving down faster, but the CEL would not trigger over a leaking sender unit, it would have to be damaged or unplugged for the light to come on.
have you hit any speed bumps or pot holes lately?

EDM6VIP,

I think jnolte's reply was a tongue in cheek reference to the fact that you have apparently ignored the excellent advive that Denlasol gave you.

If you do as he said you will discover the problem and possibly be able to fix it yourself.

PS. If you are still listening, use the red jack stands before you crawl under your car!

matter of fact i did all that before you even post that reply... so really hate to admit that your statement was unneccessary. if you would have added more help then i'd appreciate it otherwise... you shouldn't exist here to conversate

anyways this thread is done.

i unbolted the cover

anyways it's not the fuel pump. it's the bolt (round allenwrench) with a wire harness connected, under the gas tank here's a picture...

after i remove the plastic cover this is what i see!
this is the gas tank view from rear right passenger bottom floor

now it's dripping (one drop) every 10 seconds approx.

my passenger fuel filter leaks from the (8mm allen wrench bolt) 1 drop every 15 seconds approximately. I talk to a benz tech, he said it might be just the "o" ring that needs replacement, but if i were to replace the fuel sender do i have to replace [ both ] ??? or just the one that leaks ? and also my gas gauge goes up and down. and check engine light on.

how much does the fuel sender cost?

here's a picture

my fuel sender's (allenwrench) bolt is dripping (1 drop) every 20 seconds. im putting a new O ring maybe that's whats causing the leak. but is it driveable ?

Ed-

This is the third time you made a new thread regarding the same old thing. Can you please continue with your original thread instead of posting new ones each time?

Does not make sense to have multiple threads regarding the same thing.
