Need some help on this one. Recently hit a bad pothole, and bent both passenger side AMG stock wheels on my '99 C43. The price to repair these + shipping back/forth is just too much and I need to refinish all four wheels anyway...

So, I'm going with a new set of 17" wheels. Yeah, yeah I should go 18" but I've got 4 cars (1 is being restored and taking up all my free cash) and the C43 is my daily driver.

In an old post, another forum member in South Carolina (scary I remember that) installed these ASA wheels from The Tirerack and I'm hoping that someone can confirm the wheel sizes and offsets before I call Tirerack:

While I don't think the anthracite centers are still available, here's a pic of the wheels I plan to get:

Any other C43 wheel tips? Can I go 9" rear & 8" fronts with the stock size tires? Suggested offsets?

Thanks!

I think most staggered setup are 8.5" Fronts and 9.5" Rears. You should go with 18s. Those rims don't look bad at all.

those arent the ASA's. im pretty sure theyre ADR M-Sports. real sporty looking wheels. the ASA's have more spokes.

pic of my car with the ADR's. 19x8.5 and 19x9.5

ADR may have made the same designed wheel , but so has ASA. I have seen a set on a BMW 3 series and they are nice. Its from bulgogi country- KOREA

Tire rack has it on sale

edit: ryhi , my bad - you are right. the C on the first post is not ASA....I must say, you do know your wheels

Well, I found the original thread:

The black C43 in the original post has ADR wheels...not ASA. You guys have sharp eyes!

Thanks for confirming the fit on your C class 202s. Any more pics - in particular of 17" or 18" ADRs - on a C class would be great.

While going to 18s would be great, I've got 3 almost new tires and the pothole screwed up one, so staying with a 17" wheel means I can re-use 3 of the tires. Really got to rethink this and what I'm going to do.

P.S. - No, those aren't my cars / RX-7s...it's another owner on the MBWorld forum.

I am going with ASA wheels myself. They are Licensed by BBS & I love BBS wheels. If The driving conditions were better here I would get the BBS's but, with the damage wheels get here it is just not practical(tires wear, but I want my wheels to last..if they cant then I get inexpensive & just replace more often).
The 17" staggered Mono's are just complately trashed right now & not even worth putting new tires on.

The wheels I am getting are the 18x8.5 & 9.5rear" ASA FN1's. With Toyo RA-1's. 275/35R18's in the rear & 225/40R18's in the front.
The whole combo is going to cost me under $900.
