tint/felt update

I,ve been keeping everyone up to date on tinting issues with the 202 and recenlty I had one in my shop to get the windows tinted.
3 out of 4 of the moldings on this car had felt on them from the factory. This was a '99 C280. This was the frist time I had ever seen this. What this means to us is that we have another option
to the feltless molding issue. We can order replacement moldings from the dealer with felt. I will try to get some part numbers up
soon.

what are the tint issues? mines are tinted 20% and there fine?

Most of the 202's don't have felt on the molding that rubs agaist the tint and we have to add it when we tint. Your car must have it or you would see fine scratches up and down your tint.

Yeah, tinter101 is right. My 1994 c220 does not have the felt. I will take a picture of how lame my tint looks after a couple of months. It gets scratched up.

Tinter101, is the only way to add felt by changing the part, or can you add felt without changing the whole part?

From what I've read, others have bought a roll of felt from him. It cost maybe $10 from tinter and had a sticky backing.
So you don't have to replace the part only add the new felt.

Search around a bit.
