Im looking to do some body mods to my c280, and I would like to start out small and relatively inexpensive, but i was wondering if someone could give me some ideas that they have done. Thanks, Taylorhttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz9.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz8.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz7.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz6.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz5.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz4.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz3.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz2.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/roachst/benz1.jpg

Taylor what year is your C280?
Can you be a little more specific on two things please?
Give us your definition of the following words.
Body mods: Do you mean mods such as, painting the grille fins, giving the C280 badge a brushed aluminum look instead of chrome, removing the hood ornament, putting on an S600 styled grille, Color matching the bumper and door moulding, color matching the door handles, adding clear or smoked corner lights or adding some sort of custom badge or decal to the car.
Inexpensive : define to us what you consider expensive and its opposite.
What I have learned is if you are going to customize you car you should have some sort of plan.
This allows for you to decide whether certain mods will or won't go with the plan. And it helps you to keep on target and not get distracted with items that may catch your eyes later.
So reply back with what you have in mind for your car that is realistic with your current income.
That way you can plot out the customization of your car better. Just because you have plan does not mean that you can't make changes whether you add or take something away.
You just have a basis to keep you on target for what you are trying to acheive with the cutomization.
I kept my car very simple at first and then after three year of owning it I changed a few Items.
Version One: Big star grill, clear corner lights, 17inch staggered AMGs (W203) amg badge.
Version Two: some of version one plus smoked corner lights, blinking mirrors, 18inch AMG staggered Chrome (W209).

Thanks Smartkey,
The car is a 1994, and it is green. I am already redoing the audio system inside to update it. From this site it seems as if i should replace the front and rear lights and also to add a new grill. I want to put new rims on the car, but i dont know if I can afford it right now. I want to keep it quite simple right now, and I also want to try and do as many of the mods I can by myself. I could spend around 1K- 2k on the stuff that I do. Let me know of some ideas. Thanks, Taylor
also, i want to put up some pics, how do i do it?

Painting all the body mouldings the same color as your car, eg the bottom of the bumpers and side skirts side rails. this will give your car a much more modern look and cost around 300-500$.
And then possibly look around for some second hand 17 or 18" rims on ebay etc off someone who has upgraded, u may be able to get some mags for 1000-1500 $ if u shop around.
Those two things alone will make you ride look alot nicer, in my books anyway

Carter thanks for the picture of the car and thanks for the model year.
You say that you are redoing/updating the sound system, that can be quite expensive depending on how elaborate you get.
My suggestion for now on the 94 to 97 W202 on exterior mods would be.
1. Some NICE classy exhaust tips (that right I said tips)
2. Would be clear corner lights
3. S600 styled grille.
Depending on where you get these parts, they would be about 500 dollars maybe even less if someone is cleaning out there garage or you find a seller on ebay.
Since you have the early styled W202 I would go for the Luxury look and add some nice 18 inch wheels (some thing with a full face or deep dish)
You could also start dressing up the interior with little things like a chrome shift gate bezel, or a burlwood shift knob.
