battery help please!

Hey guys, so on tuesday i got a brand new batt. put in and yesterday aftre work my car started kind slow i was like hmmmm stopped at the store got in and then it wouldnt start up (just like dead batt) so got a jump, it fired right up, and then this morning it started but then warming up it slowly died back out =( what could be wrong? bad batt? wrong batt? its a reputable merc/bmw shop so i dont think wrong batt. but what else? thanks..!

maybe there is something wrong with ur dyno ?

The only thing i can think of is the alternator... would a batt last from tues till today (daily use) if the alt. was crapped out?

yep I had that same problem it was my alternator, thought it was the battery but it wasn't

well we call it here dynamo...i guess in the states its called alternator, and i had one replaced for about 200 hundred dollars (2nd hand ofcourse)..those things just happen to die out all of a sudden in my car i was going about 40 and suddenly i the stereo went out, all the lights in the dash came on, lost all power and car then died and wouldnt start..i had it recharged took it to the mechanics and the rest is history..

Just take it off yourself and have it completely rebuilt by an auto electric shop. It won't be expensive. But, if it is your alternator, you should have seen the warning light on your dash on, indicating no charging.

nope, no light, same tho... freeway bye bye radio.... than downhill from there... new alternator here i come.. lmao....
